lilbump, not all of UPD were unhappy with Pylman. Like any other departments, you have different segments in the UPD also. Some for Pylman and some against. As it stands, LaBella is the Chief at present. As far as Deputy Chief Benzo, if I'm not mistaken, he is suppose to be retiring soon. As I stated before, "be careful what you wish for." I personally do not want to see things go backwards.

Bobbbiez that is what I said.. That a lot of UPD were not happy with him.
However, I honestly do not think Labella will not do any better. This needs to stay a civil service test job. Just b/c Dan tried to take it once and did not pass doesn't make it ok to his ;best buddy try to get him in and turn it into a non civil service exam job.. I am sorry that is just how i feel.

Let's see if the ones against him will be happy now. I think not. Time will tell all. As far as I am concerned, hiring Pylman was a step forward in the right direction. Now I see us back sliding again. That's not good for anyone of us.

I just know Labella is NOT going to do the job that Pylman did.. Honestly I stated earlier I was happy but again, i only based it on what others said of him... But i know for a fact that I do not want labella.. UGH what is Roefaro doing .... all he cares about is his "buddies" not the city of utica

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess that's what we get when we wanted a "BIG" change. Some seen it as that and for me, I see it as stepping back wards.

Labella should not be chief as he has not earned it. As several here have stated, there are more qualified and desreving over him. As far as Pylman, I liked him and got along with very well. My understanding, and reading from other forums, that the investigation was going to uncover more than they wanted it to and the "investigating entity"(the city) was going to soiled as well. Garramone, Pylman, Roefaro and others were going to get unwanted exposure so the best way out for all was for Pylman to "retire"(be bought out) so that an "empire" would not crumble.

Bobbbiez, that's the change people wanted!
Wcup102, that explains why Garramone suddenly resigned his position "for health reasons" only to be reappointed after the election.

So who put the biggest weenie to the taxpaying citizens?? Julian when he hired Pylman at the ridiculous rate of pay, or Roefaro for paying him $250,000 to resign??
Pylman walks with a smile on his face, and the city of Utica needs preparation H for the next few years to heal the ass reaming that we got from two mayors.
And I "can't wait to come home???" I must be nuts, hahahaha!

Wcup, not so sure if it was because of the investigation why Pylman is leaving. I'm assuming he decided to leave because he had applied for another, better position elsewhere. Hopefully, we'll all learn the real reason "why" some day. I personally think he just doesn't want to work with the new administration and I can't blame anyone that feels that way. Things are starting to smell in my book.

My understanding for his leaving is that he can't stand roefaro and applied for a job in schenectady.

I just can't believe that Roefaro said he doesn't have to "pick" from the civil service exam for the next cheif of police... Why b/c Labella can't pass it (rumor has it)... Roefaro needs to leave office..

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one time when I'm proud to say, "Roefaro didn't get my vote." ;D The writing was on the wall during his campaigning seeing some of the "old" faces I thought we got rid of. Again, the old saying comes true again. Always "be careful of what you wish for." New doesn't always mean better.
