Stop HTML5 autoplay videos in Chrome, Firefox, Opera (but not Edge, Explorer, Safari)

If you go to the article you can get free app and instructions. I did this Saturday and it works. You can automatically disable the readable by clicking on little stop sign logo

what the heck is going on with youtube. Its so annoying. I go to watch something and as soon as its done it starts playing something else. Is this what you mean by autoplay. Then I have to get to stop the one I had watched and can't get rid of the one that started. I just click , click, click on everything till it stops.

Yup. I haven't tried it on youtube yet but on AOL it works fine. I hate when I click on a story and the video automatically starts up and even more when it follows you ask you scroll down the page to read the story. Have to then click on the little x mark on top right of video. One extra step.
