One thing I don't like is how my photos look on my PC. In WinXP and Win7 not much difference they were clear and resolution looked great. (they look okay if I post them on line closer to the way they use to look on my PC with XP and 7) I use to have Corel Photoshop Pro but now decided to use Adobe Photo Elements which from my understanding is better than Corel
Does anyone know if it might be the way the settings are or is this the way Windows10 is made. The resolution of the photos look terrible. View is small...if I zoom in or expand not much improvement.

Too many moving parts there to sort out. Different screen, different program, different OS. It sounds like you are looking at thumbnails rather than full photos. Perhaps you can find an Adobe help line or user's group.

Thanks CB...I wish there was an easier way to tell if this was user or program issue. I'll check into that. It doesn't say thumbnail when I check...only sm icon large icon and I tried all the views. Time to crack open that Windows for Seniors ASAP.

You could install the same graphics program from the old pC on to the new pc. Then on the new PC you could look at the same shot in two different programs. Would not be unusual if the old graphics program on the old PC was designed to run under the old system software, but would readily run under the new operating system on the new PC. (Did that make any sense?)

PS: Another option is to install an easy to use graphics program such as Irfanview (I've been using it for years) on both the new and old machines. then you could play the graphic on the same system, and compare one to another.

Windows 10 everyone keeps telling me once I get the hang of it I will love it. I'm always the exception to every rule. I've had it since 11/16 and still can't find my files or figure out what I use to know and be able to do with my eyes closed. (of course I am on my devices more than spending and using my time to figure out the PC) today I had to download the manual for my new camera and could barely read it. The writing is so light and my screen is a tad bigger than it used to be. Dell tech had it set for 125 dispaly so I changed it. Now I don't have to scroll over to the end of the sentence but the font is now smaller. Use to be able to right click on the page and select larger text but that isn't happening. My eyes aren't helping either since I'm getting blind as a bat as I get older. ;O I think I need to find a class in Windows 10.

I used Windows 10 for a while but now I use Chrome. I have the same issue's with my eye's. I received my new glasses two months ago and still can't used to them. Doctor said nothing is wrong with the glasses. Well something is cause I don't think you are supposed to get dizzy while wearing them.

Always a trade off: stick with the old or endure the learning curve on something which may be more powerful or efficient. My Win 7 computer has been replaced with one which came with Win 10. It is mostly used by grand children now. I tried to upgrade it to Win 10 and it totally failed. I think it was a Samsung rather than a Windows problem but for awhile I couldn't get it to even boot.
Eventually I solved the boot problem but asked my #1 son to install Linux and make it a dual boot system. He did that and made Linux the default. My 13 year old grand daughter just used it without question and figured it out. The first time Barb used she asked if I could change it back.
For me on my Win 10 computer I switched from using MS Office to Libre Office (free instead of spending real dollars). Last month I complained at a lodge meeting that a feature I regularly used in Word did not seem to be available in Libre Office. After the meeting one of our younger member installed a version of MS Office he had on a jump drive in his pocket. I have to admit that since then I have mostly used the MS version.

Doctor said nothing is wrong with the glasses. Well something is cause I don't think you are supposed to get dizzy while wearing them. Do you have astigmatism. That may be the problem. I found out when I had a prescription filled out the first time with astigmatism in the script. I was nausea all the time. When I stopped at a red light the road looked like it was buckling, I couldn't judge the floor wen walking. Had it removed. All fine. I ask that they not put it into the script as I can't tolerate it. My new script now has bifocal, astimatism and regular filled. I hesitate to have it filled because not sure how I can tolerate all corrections. Never had bifocals before. This is going to be very expensive with all the corrections. They can if it doesn't work out change it but I'll still be paying for the more expensive correction and no refund on lesser script. My Opthamoligist tells me there is nothing more that he can do glasses wise. Not sure if laser surgery would fix anything back to 20/20 but that's a whole 'nother ball of wax.

How about external hard drives for back up. I had a Clickfree that I loved. All I did was plug it in and it saved all my files. I didn't have to monkey with any software or drives. When I got my new computer I decided to buy a new one to start fresh. They don't make them anymore. I would like one that works similar to the Clickfree. Any suggestions.

The new virus that is causing problems in Europe and expected in USA is hitting Windows XP, 7 and 8 systems. Be careful
Yes I have astigmatism Chris. I still can't use to those glasses so I will no longer wear them. I put them on yesterday was dizzy all day and it absolutely ruined my Sunday. I took them off an hour before Prince Charles 3 movie came on WCNY last night so I could enjoy the program. I will wear them when I have to go for my physical cause last time I couldn't see the chart,LOL.
