www.uticaod.com/news/x1874994622/Rt-840-named-in-Corrs-honorAnother sad story with as good as a ending as one can expect. I remember this like it was yesterday. The funeral was the coldest day ever as all Law Enforcement gathered in Unity to support their fallen brother. May Joe never be forgotten and may this be a reminder to all that drive down this route of the dedication our Law Enforcement and Community displays. God bless Joe's family and his little girl Kaitlyn. She is truly beautiful who has lost a huge chunk of her future and is to young to even understand.

Yes, a wonderful memorial and needed reminder in Joe's memory. May he rest peacefully in the hands of God with his other fallen brothers and sisters. Pretty inspirering when a whole community is in support of remembering one fallen Officer and pretty damn sad when others complain of a simple cross in memory of another. Does that tell everyone something?

Bobbiez I agree with you.. I got in arguments on thursday with some people on utica od.. they were ignorent... complaining about the whole memorial in his name.... I think it is a great way to show that we appreciate how he died protecting us.. People just need something to complain about.....
May Joe Corr and every other fallen office rest in peace... and THank you for protecting us!!!!!!!!!!!!

I probably could tell you who exactly on the OD forum argued with you and their typical line is, "is a Police Officer's life worth more then the average citizen and I'm sick of memorials. Keep it in the cemetery." Not even worth arguing with those people. They are ignorant and to them, a Police Officer is only good when they need them. All have a right to their opinions, but on that subject, I wouldn't even begin to give them the dignity of an argument.

bobbbiez,
I do agree with you and we all probably know who that person is on the OD. He hasn't changed a bit and sound like he has become more ignorant. But that is no surprise, that is why he is still on the OD.
As far as the on going question about "is a Police Officer's life worth more then the average citizen"? The answer is no, of course not. But certainly shows the amount of respect one has for the law. I always thought if one could kill a Police Officer than they would have no problem killing a regular civilian, making them a extremely dangerous individual. The punishment does need to be greater than a average killing, other wise there would be an even less deterrent to kill a Police Officer.
