This sounds like a lot of fun. I'll do my best not to confuse the dairy princess competition and the petting zoo!

I think they wear signs that say "no petting the milkmaidens" Frank. If you make a mistake, we will hold a fund raising benefit and go the bail. Swimmy can defend ya, if you don't mind waiting for him to pass the bar.

I think I'll just keep my hands in my pockets. It should make for an interesting milking demonstration.

Oh dear! No comment, and TMI, I won't go there, and don't want to even let that image into my mind!!

I'l be sure to look for man with his hands in his pockets and introduce myself, Frank. But I'm not gonna look at the milking demo!

Sheesh, what a bunch of squeamish people. Okay, I'll be at the pie-eating contest, instead.

Good idea Frank. Much safer over there at the pie eating contest. Leave the blueberry and cherry for the mayonaise faces, I would be the guy with the crushed red pepper shaker, near the tomato pie. ( I guess it is obvious that I am partial to "hot and savory" as opposed to sweet. haha)

I just might go as well. I know the Finn's very well and it would be good to see them all gain as it has been a "few" years.

Countrygal, or Wcup, is Harry Finn Jr's mother still alive?? I know when I was a kid and she and Harry senior used to be friends with my mom and dad, they were older than my mom and dad. She would be in her late 80's I think if she is still alive.
She was a wonderful, hard working, woman and great mom. She was also a great farmer, and SHE ran the barn, not Harry Sr. haha. The barn was always clean, with lime and calcite on the floor, and the equipment was never parked helter skelter around the place. It was always neat and clean and a very pretty and well maintained house and farm.

I wanna say she is, but I don't know for sure. I will ask. I talk to Debbie on a daily basis. They have a very nice farm in a pretty location. We're gonna be busy, busy, busy that day. We actually have 700 school kids coming in the morning! I'll be doing barn tours for them. I will be there during the public open house too, but I don't know where yet.

Not sure Clip, about Mrs. Finn. When I see Dick again I will ask unless countrygal finds out first. And you are right about the barn and the rest of the farm. As She barked the orders and it was "yes ma'am" when we were haying.

I used to hunt on Dick Finn's land. The O'neil boys had permission to hunt there. I shot a couple of nice bucks out behind his house in that first little patch of hardwoods as you cross the meadow by the house. Countrygal is going to check with Harry Jr's wife when she talks to her again, but thanks anyway Brian.

I haven't talked to Debbie yet today. We were both too busy. Debbie is Harry's daughter-in-law who now owns the farm. I'll find out about Mrs. Finn and let you know.
P.S. My son's team won their first game tonight. Yea!!!!!!!!!
