Oh goodness! Can't have none of that stuff! Don't they know I am old enough to be your father, and I am firmly committed to my honey here at home?? Not only that, but if you didn't kill me, Ken would, LOLOL!
Nope folks. Just buddies. I have to check on my buddy "Critter" at least every couple of days. The "Amazing Critter" is Kim's son Stephen. He is a hoot.
There, that should clarify that, haha.

Okay, enough of the "lovey dovey" stuff. We all know you're very fond of each other and we can all imagine what might happen when you two get together back in good ol' Utica next month. And Christmas time no less! So the rest of us will just drink coffee, reminisce, and get to know each other better. Just let us know the time and place.
Oh, and by the way, we have SNOW up here! Prepare, prepare!

Awww! Smack - schmack! You know you're BOTH going to smack me, so no big whoop. That's what I live for (and of course the Martin, Meyer, Naegele clans as well). So let's figure on a most joyous holiday, in hopes that St. Nicholas, and the rest of the Clipper Clan join us for coffee, smacks, and...).

I am listnening to some of the music of one of my favorite singers and groups right now on style tv network. It is a tribute on ice to Franky Valle and the Four Seasons. Really takes ya back to listen to those old tunes. What happened to music like that? I suppose music evolves like anything else, but I fail to see the talent and the enjoyment in listening to the new rock groups or rap music. Musicians seem to have lost the ability to play the melody, and simply bang out chords as loudly as the amp will allow.(hell, maybe there is no melody anymore : Oh well, I guess that is what my mom and dad said about Dion and the Belmonts and Elvis, but at least they could carry a tune and knew what a ballad was.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Frankie Valle and the Four seasons. My all time favorite group. I think it was just last week that Frankie was the singer during a ice skating program on TV. He sang while each skater performed their acts. As usual he was awesome. God, he stills looks great for his age. Just love to listen to that little guy. No one like Frankie.

Clipper, (how I hate saying this), but you are so right about the groups today. Just can't get into them and believe me I do try. Can't understand a word they're singing if that's what you call what comes out of their mouths. Oops, do have to take that back because in quite a few songs I can pick out the word, F**k. Hey, whatever happend to FCC rules on profanity going over the air waves?

The tribute I watched this morning was probably a rerun of what you watched. It was great!

Frankie Valle and the Four seasons. No one like Frankie. When we (The Plaids) played at the Turf Club in Rome many years ago someone was leaning against a car outside with a crowd of guys around him singing Four Seasons songs. He sounded exactly like Frankie Valle. After listening to him sing a few songs we asked him his name. He told us his name was Larry Santos. Turns out that Larry Santos was the one that wrote Candy Girl for the Four Seasons. This is what he sounded like in 1976 with his hit record "We Can't Hide It Anymore"

Yeaaaa, Oneonta! Actually listening to a few seconds of the song (I'll give Larry his due, but I can't stand the genre) I wondered if it wouldn't have made a better Barry White song.
