BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo police say a man who was being robbed struck back at his assailants, shooting two suspects.
The attempted robbery and subsequent shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. Sunday along the 600 block of Lasalle Avenue in the city's Kensington-Bailey neighborhood. Police say the suspects took a gold necklace and money from a 50-year-old male, who then shot the suspects.
The suspects have been identified as: Bernard Byrd III, 21, and 19 year old Robert Moore, both of Buffalo. They are both charged with first degree robbery.
Both suspects were taken to Erie County Medical Center. Byrd is still at ECMC in critical condtion.
Police say that the robbery victim appears to have a legal permit for the gun used in the shooting.
This is why we don't need to have anyone trying to take away our right to carry a handgun. This man would have simply been a victim of two punks that needed knocking down. Do I have sympathy for the shooting victims? Not much. My concern is whether or not the shooter will be charged with anything for defending his personal property from punks.

If the robbers weren't armed, you may be quite right Alan.
