What is he trying to accomplish? His city is rife with heroin use, crack cocaine, meth use, and other drug problems that should be addressed, and yet he is going after prescription drugs, that DO have a legitimate use.
He must have finished his education as a dietician, and now he is completing his medical degree on line. 10 hrs of study, and you get a medical degree from a correspondence school in New Jersey, and it is available for only 4 easy payments of $25. He will be fully qualified to determine precisely how many tablets of a prescribed pain killing medication will be necessary to treat your pain. Sort of like "get well soon, before your pills run out and you have to suffer in agony or move out of NYC."
Gee Bloomy. Don't ya think maybe you should leave medicine to the doctors?
I hope that he breaks a leg and the ER doc only gives him an extra strength Tylenol for pain.
Is it just me, or do others wonder where this guys priorities are? We seem to only hear about his attacks on the eating and soda drinking habits of the NYC public. Now he has reassessed his priorities and is going after pain medications and guns.
He is a brilliant man and a great philanthropist, so why is he so intent on taking on issues such as this pain pill campaign? I would think that making pain killers hard to obtain from a real doctor will simply drive addicts to heroin or other even MORE dangerous substances, while making it difficult for those with chronic pain issues to obtain pain therapy and medications.
