god forbid they dont get their 35 pounds a month 35 pounds of what? Alan, I think Corner is referring to the packages (weight allowed) for food and etc the inmates are allowed to receive from their families or friends.

If they get food don't they need refrigerators to store it in or is this packaged non-perishables. I hope they are not allowed salty products causes problems with blood pressure which drives up the cost of Medicaid which them effects me. Have to write my Congressmen about that.

Lots of Ramen Noodles, Kraft Mac and Cheese, instant soup, instant oatmeal, and other instant and microwaveable stuff would be my guess.

Yep Clip, lots of that stuff and all have to be in plastic/paper bags/boxes or containers. When in doubt they run whatever through an x-ray machine. The prisons give you a list of dos & don'ts what the prisoners can have and the rules are changed depending on who is working the package room. To leave a package for an inmate can be a very frustrating experience for the families and visitors. Plus, it is much more expense to buy the cheapest items because things have to be wrapped a certain way. Never understood many of their rules because they do x-ray items anyways.
