Denise, I don't do eBay but if you do and get the time now or in the future will you check to see if anyone has a 5-6 quart Corning casserole for me. I would greatly appreciate your efforts. Sure, no problem. Thanks much, girl. Bought another brand and I don't like it at all. I really, really miss the one I broke.

No problem. I love browsing eBay! You never know what you'll come across. A few months ago I bought a Trinkaus Manor glass.

Bobbbiez, if you simply google Ebay, click on their main page, select collectibles as the category, type in corning ware casserole in the search block and you will see several, including a 5 quart blue cornflower casserole with lid for $24.99. So far there have been no bids, and it will be up for auction for 20 more hours as of when I read it a few minutes ago. I don't do ebay and don't have a paypal account, but maybe one of your kids does.
PS: further browsing found another offer for a 4 quart as well as a 2 inch deep one with one lid for $9.99 plus shipping in the spice of life pattern. They are down near the bottom of the same page and will be available for 6 more days.

That was one of them. The other was two casseroles with a bid of $9.99. It was farther down the page.

Thanks Chris and Clip, but that is not what I'm looking for to replace. Mine was a white French Corning casserole with the glass lid. It was oblong (long) and deep but not as deep as the one shown. It came as a set of three different size casserole that being the biggest. Denise has been looking for me also and nothing yet Thanks to all three of you for looking for me. I really appreciate your efforts. Hopefully, there might be one out there someplace.

Oh dear BZ. I know just what you are talking about now. I BOUGHT KATHY ONE AT A GARAGE SALE LAST SUMMER FOR $10 AND SHE WOULD NOT PART WITH IT FOR ALL THE TEA IN CHINA. I just asked her if she wanted to part with it, and she said ABSOLUTELY NOT and she didn't stutter, haha. Sorry sweetie. I know now though why you want one. She uses it all the time for both hot and cold dishes. I thought you wanted the square one. We have a set of those also. The one you like is shaped like a roaster except it is white pyrex, right? Sorry kiddo. I wish it was something that she didn't use so much and that we could send to ya. I WILL keep an eye out for another one.

If you like the cornflower blue corning ware, you have a lot to choose from. French white, not so much. I'd like a larger casserole dish myself. I had a covered Visons casserole, which I didn't know was made by Corning, until I did this eBay search, but one of cats got into the basement & knocked it off the shelf. I think I got it when I opened a bank account at SBU. Nothing I would have picked out but I did use to make ham & potato casserole or baked mac & cheese.

No problem. I love browsing eBay! You never know what you'll come across. A few months ago I bought a Trinkaus Manor glass. Awww thanks Denise. Do you collect old Trinkaus Manor items? I have two "Tiedy Bear Cocktail" mugs that I saved from the good old days at Trinkaus where we spent lots of time at. They are shaped as bears holding a baby bear and very light brown in color. You're more then welcome to them if you like. Just let me know.

Sounds good to me. Denise found one on ebay but it's not as big as the one I had and much desire. She will keep looking for me which I so appreciate. If you find one, Clip, get it for me and I will reinverse you the $$$ with pleasure and I'll still make you your damn pork steaks. ;D

I will probably go to the flea market next weekend. I have to winterize the camper tomorrow so I won't make it there this weekend. Did it snow in Utica? I saw lots of pictures of snowy and nasty weather to the South of you guys. It was sunny here today, but only in the mid to high 40's. Sunny tomorrow and in the 60's. Cold will be coming around the corner soon, so I have to get the waterlines blown out with air and put a little RV anti freeze in the drains and holding tanks.

The French White will be easier to find. Now that we know what we are specifically looking for. The others are much older so more than likely more unavailable. Are you sure the stores in town don't carry it? (or maybe can order it for you) this link is for a 4qt... www.shopworldkitchen.com/corningware/french-white-roaster-1047975

Our day was just like yours. Pretty nice but cool. We took advantage and got most of the leaves raked up. Almost all done with that. Had to run over to my sister's house in Whitesboro on Ablett Ave to make sure she was ok. She lives two houses from the explosive, her daughter lives three houses away and her son lives directly next door to the explosive. Horrible tragedy. Scared the sh*t out of me cause when I heard it on the news I called her immediately and no answer. She was outside trying to help everyone and didn't have her phone on her. Talk about panicking. Very upsetting. I am offering up my prayers for Ada the sweet woman who was killed.

PS...in case you can't find your Corning ware there appears to be a brand on QVC called Temptations (looks a lot like Polishware...I think they copied) Most have a design but I think there is one that is all white or just plain (or maybe used to) They have the same characteristice of Corningware..oven to freezer to microwave and don't break.
