I feel so sad. I lost my best girlfriend. She passed away yesterday and I've loved her for years. She was in my home for so many years and brought so much laughter at times when it was badly needed. Even now, as I'm recuperating and being forced in front of the TV, every night I have been watching her in the re-runs of the "Golden Girls." Bea Arthur was 86 yrs old when she went to meet her maker yesterday. She as "Maude" and then as "Dorothy" on the "Golden Girls" brought so much joy into many households. Won't even mention the talent she gave to Broadway. Bea was some woman and will always be remembered for the enjoyment on stage, screen and in films she gave to so many. Thank you Bea. Rest in peace, Sweetie.

I always enjoyed watching Golden Girls with my grandparents when I was a child.

Everyone' favorite "old lady," Bernice Frankel was a journeyman actor who starred on Broadway before moving to television.
What a lady! Makes you feel good to know that talent still bubbles to the top. But not without hardwork, determination and dedication. Bea Arthur had lots. Nice bio at wiki:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bea_Arthur

Thanks Dave. Love reading about this grand lady. She was one of the best and will be remembered by many. They just don't make them like Bea any more.

She is a saint and most likely acting in heaven. I am sure she already has a billboard up in front of the many mansions in heaven. I bet St. Genesius will be cast in the heavenly version of "The Golden Girls" www.saintspreserved.com/genesius/St_Genesius.htm
