Kim's son had cochlear implant surgery today. I am sure many of us are familiar with the little guys ordeal with meningitis and ear problems over the last few weeks. Well today he had his right ear implanted. Surgery went well, and they were on the way home from the hospital when I spoke with her on the phone. It was a day surgery procedure. I just wanted to update you all and inform you that he is okay and all went well. I will leave the details to Kim, when she gets a moment to post. I am sure she is very busy with him today, but you can go to her blog and read about it. poppinsponderings.blogspot.comGood thoughts and prayers for quick recovery are sent your way Kim. Give Stephen a hug from the Clipper's Corner family!

I guess I kinda neglected poor Stephen. I have a close friend here that has been hospitalized in Charlottesville Va for the past couple of weeks for brain surgery to remove a golf ball sized tumor. I have been kind of preoccupied with my friend Carl's condition, and kinda let Stephen's surgery slip by without posting anything about it>
I am glad my buddy "The Critter" is doing well, Kim. Sorry that I forgot to inform anyone as to what was going on in your busy life today. He IS in my thoughts and prayers though, and you know that for sure! That is my buddy!

Thanks! He's feeling better today, hates the bandage, and doesn't like the dizzy feeling he's having. He's looking forward to being hooked up on May 11th. I'm hoping he never gets sick like that again!

Glad he is doing well. Is he in much pain? I don't blame him for not liking the bandage. It looks bulky and cumbersome. It can't be very comfortable.
Gee, that dizzy feeling has to be very disconcerting for an active little guy like him. I hope he doesn't lose his equlibrium and fall down. I guess that is probably a normal part of the healing when they work on the inner ear or around it, huh?
Give Stephen a hug from Clipper and have one yourselves. Glad it is over, and that all you have to wait for now, is for them to program it and turn it on.
