I just watched the remake of the 1951 classic sci-fi film about an alien visitor and his giant robot counterpart who visit Earth, starring Keanu Reeves and a whole slew of great actors.
This maybe a far fetched movie but sure left me walking away thinking just, what if? What if this really is not our planet and were just hear kinda of on a lease program?
If you have seen this movie, what are your thoughts? Did it give you the same feeling?

Frankcor, I hadn't even commented yet, but you took the words right out of my mouth! Great trailers at the Internet Movie Data Base: www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi1047461913/When was this film released? Last December?

I haven't seen it, Dave. I didn't even realize they'd done a remake. According to the trailer, it was released Dec. 12.

Geez, if it was released last December it couldn't have been that good. Haven't heard anything about it. Has anyone else seen it? If so, let me know what ya thought of it. I do like movies as this.

Todd, what's your honest opinion since you viewed it. Is it worth my time to watch it?

It has it's moments if you are willing to keep a open mind throughout the movie.
I am also on a monthly program with Blockbuster and only 2-minutes away, but hey I am trying to get your opinions!!
Enjoy the movie if you are fortune enough to get a copy and please report back!

Well, since we don't have cable or dish to watch I figure one or two DVDs a month is allowable.
If we get a bad one, it's no different than paying for 100+ channels and having nothing decent to watch anyway!

Smart move Ralph. I have noticed more and more in the last couple of years that the cable providers keep track of what anyone watches, and if customers get too satisfied watching a certain channel, the cable provider moves it to a "premium" package, so that we can spend more to watch it.
I find that the expanded basic plan is fine, along with our phone and internet bundle. We simply can afford to watch more $2 and $3 movies on pay for view, and still save money over having to pay for HBO and Cinemax etc.
I usually stay on the computer most of the evening when nothing good is on tv. Kathy watches dancing with the stars, and once in a while I turn to watch a huge, brown bear, of a retired football player, dance with a half naked darlin, but other than that, unless it is a good movie, I don't bother with TV after the 6 o'clock news, wheel and jeopardy.

That's about where my watching ends as well Clipper, that and since I work nights I don't get to see anything anyway!
I have actually gotten found of watching episodes of shows I miss on-line or dredging up stuff on Joost to watch after work.
Good point Frank, but having been down that road I found I brought them home and while Betty may get to see them I usually don't. And the overdue fines killed me!!!
