You won't see me writing her a check. But to be fair, it's not unusual for more "standard" families having multiple births to receive donations.

Since it's becoming most obvious that this mother did this to get attention and I'm positive for the money she thought this would bring to her, I wouldn't classify her as a "standard family." As she keeps opening her "big" mouth, that is also phony, more and more people are tuning her out. She screwed up by giving recent interviews and I can't see any magazines paying her for her story because it's no longer untold news. Did hear this website was started by the hospital she had the kids in to help them retrieve some of the money for the bills she has incurred. My opinion is they better write it off as a tax loss if they believe the public is going to help with her bills. We might be naive at times but we're not stupid. ;D

I was watching Fox and Friends this morning. They theorize that she did this for attention thinking she would have it made for life because of other multiple birth parents. But that she is single, not married and did this on purpose, unlike the other families who didn't have much choice. As this story pans out, everyone is disgusted with her.
One guy called her website illegal because it does not represent a cause. It only benefits her.

If so, I wonder where the line is between legal and illegal. Bobbbiez's idea about the hospital seems likely. Knowing hospitals, it's a wonder they let her take the babies home without payment.

I blogged about her today and, so far I have 28 comments, and I had 600 hits on my blog today because I linked to the cnn article and they linked back to me. Wow! My blog usually only gets 70 hits a day...I was shocked. Anyway, out of all the 28 comments, only one person seemed to be defending her.

But I'm no tax attorney, so don't quote me.

Kim, I bet you enjoyed the extra hits. Maybe you'll become a nationally read blog. That would be really cool!

The one in her favor must have come for the donor she used. After all, as far as I'm concerned he is the father of all 14 kids and better start paying support instead of her expecting it from the public who is no relation to her or the babies.

Heh, yeah, but I suspect the hits will calm down soon. I think most people popped over from cnn and only read that one post, but it would be cool if they read more and came back! :-)
I'm up to 35 comments now!

Yeah but this woman is so stupid that anyone involved with her is probably just as bad and didn't sign anything. Wouldn't hurt to check up on especially if she does receive "any" form of public assistance. She does receive food stamps by her own admission so she is obligated to provide all info. This is surely not the average or normal case to compare to others that are.

The big problem with octuplets is they all run around at the same speed!
At the same time!
