Lot Of Livin To Do
Lyrics
Birdie: There are chicks just ripe for some kissin' And I mean to kiss me a few! Then those chicks don't know what they're missin', I got a lot of living to do! Sizzlin' steaks all ready for tastin' And there's Cadillacs all shiny and new! Gotta move, cause time is a-wastin', There's such a lot of livin' to do!
Kim: There are men of nineteen or twenty Who are suave and reckless and true Older men who give a girl plenty I've gotta a lot of livin' to do
Birdie: There's music to play, Places to go, people to see! Everything for you and me!
Birdie: There's music to play,(You know it, you know it!) Places to go, people to see! Everything (Yeah!) For you and me!
All: Oh, Life's a ball if only you know it And it's all just waiting for you You're alive, So come on and show it We got a lot of livin' Such a lot of livin' Got a lot of livin' to do!

I played Conrad Birdie in "Bye Bye Birdie" in 1964. I still remember the words to all the musical numbers, but the gold lame' suit doesn't stretch far enough for me to get into it anymore, and I damn sure don't look the part of a "teen idol" anymore. NYSblonde and Suz were in the chorus, and a little girl named Sharon McMan played Kim.
If asked if she wanted to win a contest to kiss this old raggedy ass "Conrad", OUR kim would probably say Ptoooey!(she would rather be forced to eat tomato pie) LOLOL I seem to have misplaced my sex appeal somewhere along the line, hehe.

Sorry, Clip, but my favorite version of the song is by Nancy Wilson.

I can't blame you for that. Nancy Wilson is one hell of a singer, and does a great rendition. I love the old broadway musicals. I have a lot of the soundtracks on vinyl and cassette tape. I should get them down off the shelf and play them again sometime soon.
I loved the movie version and I saw it on broadway in the sixties. We had a ball putting on the show in high school though. We had a great music teacher named Dave Reardon, that brought in friends that were, choreographers, and such that he knew from off-broadway, and his shows were always done in a professional manner for having a high school aged cast.

I renew my statements all the time, Ryan. The difference is, you remember what you said. I don't.
