Wow. I just read a comment from a friend stating that she just paid $4 a gallon for gas. She lives in Marcy.
So far with prices rising here too, the highest I have seen in $3.49 out by the interstate. I bought gas the day before yesterday for $3.29.
I feel bad for anyone that heats with heating oil who may not have topped off while the price was lower. How much is heating oil now?

Has been steady at $3.99 for a week now that is minus that discount of 5 cents to 10 cents depending on gas station

Just a matter of time. Prices are going crazy for everything. Not just gas. I bought a chuck roast the other day. $8 a pound. $37 for a roast just big enough to cut in half to get two meals for just the two of us. Not long ago you could buy a ribeye steak for that per pound price. Now the ribeye is $12 a pound. Kathy likes filet mignon. I told her the other day that she better get used to strip steak and chew it a little longer before swallowing. Choice tender loin filet at Kroger was $22.99 a pound. I refuse to pay $15 for a piece of meat the size of a small baseball.

Food and gas are really starting to impact budgets. Two of my grandsons are teen agers. I really love having them visit but I'm glad I don't have to feed them full time.

I will buy some ground beef once a month for a hamburger yet I have not done that so far this month since I really enjoy turkey burgers or the other alternative veggie burger and I made some ground chicken burgers that were really tasty.

Tonight it is leftover chicken breast I made using Old Bay seasoning. Boy are they delicious. Also have leftover green beans in sauce along with a fresh salad.
The weekend calls for Sloppy Jane's........

I bought 3 steaks packaged together in BJ's a couple weekes ago, N.Y. Strip for about $32.00. They were delicious & weighed about 8-9 oz. each. Still have one in the freezer. I don't know if they've gone up since then as I've only gone there for gas.
