Asplundh showed up this morning with two huge machines to clear the right of way through the woods across the road. One machine is like a wood chipper on tracks. It just drives through cutting brush up to 3 inches or so in diameter and clears the ground right down to the dirt. That makes a path for the REALLY big machine. It has rubber tires 5 feet in diameter and a boom that can extend up to 75 feet. It has a huge circular saw blade on the end and is used to clear trees and brush away from the lines through wooded areas. It called a "Jarf."

The thing is a monster. The saw blade on the end of the boom slices through trees without even dragging down the rpms on the engine.
