www.wjhl.com/news/big-brother-may-put-an-end-to-speeding-in-new-york/Government interference in private lives and government overreach is becoming more alarming every day. It won't be long before government will be telling us how many sheets of Charmin a person can use to wipe their rear end. I have driven truck that had governors installed to limit speed. It is a pain in the ass when you can't get a little run for a hill, or kick it in the butt to complete a safe pass. Why do I think that NY would require governors to be set at 65 even though many states have a 70mph speed limit on interstate highways?

Me thinks that the insurance lobby is lining the pockets of Hochul & Albany lawmakers. Nothing new there. What's next? Requiring drivers to carry a log book like trucker's do?
Speaking of Albany. I'm still waiting for the homeowner tax rebate that they were raving about last June. I don't know anyone else who has got it either.

Nah, they wont require car drivers to carry log books. I think they finally realized that we all cheated like hell and drove as long as we wanted to. I always carried two. If I made it to Wisconsin, back down and over to Iowa and back to Franklin Ohio for my final pickup before heading back to NY I used the second book to reflect that I just drove to Ohio and back. That left me with enough log hours to make a couple of round trips to Plattsburg or Ticonderoga with baled wet pulp. Made for a nice check.
