This is good to know. I'm with you, Clipper... Windows 10 wasn't broke, so why fix it?

I seemed to have read recently that if you have office 365 you would not have to worry about updates it automatically would do it. Not sure if this would be for the whole operating system or just Office. 365 is a subscription and I prefer to own my own stuff. Im having issues with my computer now but it maybe the Internet speed causing my issues. One thing I noticed was my programs take a long time to open and my browser will say : for example, excel not responding. I never had this message with winXP. I clicked on a program and it would open. I didn’t need to be on internet to use it. Now seems like it all is on there out in the cloud somewhere. When I asked Dell when I still had support , they never gave me a good answer or ignored the question.

Sorry to read about your update problems Chris. I hope it can be resolved soon.
I don't think auto updated for your Office products would include operating system updates, but that is just my guess.

My brother just said the same thing. He just bought a new computer with Windows 11. It's a bit different than Windows 10, and it takes a little getting used to, but it has some nice features.
