Wow. You can look to pay even more for the already overpriced sludge. What union will they affiliate with? Brotherhood of Mud Mixers of America? I have often wondered why there has not been any concentrated effort to unionize McDonald's and other fast food joints, but then again, I guess it is not needed anymore now that they are so desperate for employees that they are starting people at $12 and hour and up.

I see prep work has started for the new Starbucks located in North Utica Genesee right next to entrance to Harbor Point on property of that Hotel. I hope that is a good place for them concerning traffic issues since the one on Commercial Drive at the entrance to Consumer Square had cars backed up to 481 not sure of the route number. That drive thru is still bumper to bumper traffic all for there crappy coffee. I would hate to see North Genesee St backed up to PAPANDREAS AUTOMOTIVE - Auto Repair.

I don't do Starbucks either but they must be doing something right if lines are backed up. I like Dunkin & their drive thrus are also always busy but I won't sit in line for 20 minutes to get it. I'll stick with my New England Breakfast Blend. I sometimes bring a travel mug with me if I'm out running errands & I save a few bucks that way.

I bought one variety of Starbucks at Price Chopper I think. Next morning I followed directions to make a pot of coffee. Way to strong for me. I rarely have a reaction to caffeine but I did with this variety I bought. Instant rush and my pulse rate increased real fast that I was starting to get scared since I take a medication to keep my pulse rate low or normal. I won't touch the stuff again. I like Folgers Classic and I also like Italian-Style Espresso - Medaglia d'Oro and never have a problem or a caffeine rush like that.

starbucks is always backed up because so many people are ordering their latte's, frapachinos, and all that fancy crap that takes 5 minutes to make. 12 people order that at a drive-thru and you could wait in line for an entire hour. You must have to have a taste for that crap. It tasted over roasted and muddy to me. I love my Folgers when I am home and if I order a coffee out when I am going to the VA or something it is either Dunkin or McDonald's. McDonalds serves great coffee.

Yup, I also take my travel cup with me quite often. I always take it bowling, filled with Folger's Classic Roast. I have a Contigo brand aluminum cup that keeps coffee warm for hours. Three hours after we leave home my coffee is still fairly hot and palatable.
