Rick, will you be the one with the cross-cut saw or the one climbing the greased pole? ;D

After spending a week at the fair grounds, I'm happy to not see it again until next year!

Oh heck, I thought a countrygal like yourself would be busy sharpening some high performance chain saws and sharpening the hobnails on your log rolling boots, hahahahaha!

Oh, I enjoy looking at the hunky lumberjacks (there are a few). I've had enough of "boys and their toys" for awhile.

I forgot you just recently got your lungs cleared out from all the tractor pulling exhaust, demolition derbies, and monster trucks, haha.
Oh well, stay home a while, and enjoy the boys and the fresh Marcy air. I wish I was there. It is getting to be my favorite time to be in NY. The fresh air of crispy fall mornings will soon be with you guys. It will be hot here for another 2 months or so yet.
The first year we were here, I mowed the lawn the week before Christmas, and then started mowing again in March.
Have a good night countrygal. The best to hubby and the kids, and God bless.

Actually, that cool weather is getting too close for comfort. Only a high of 70 predicted for Saturday! Hopefully we have a dry fall so we can get the crops in!
You have a good night too Clipper and everybody reading here tonight!

I'm thinking about getting myself one of those top-fuel hemi chainsaws. I haven't settled on whether I want a V-10 or a V-8. The V-10 may be a little hard on the ears.

Rick, will you be the one with the cross-cut saw or the one climbing the greased pole? ;D You imp! No greased poles in my foreseeable future. ;D Nope, I'll be the guy walking around looking at the various ways and tools ( don't go for it! <<wags finger>> ) to harvest some pine and hardwood. Ooops! There I go again. I actually just bought a new chainsaw. Cylinder displacement 2.8 cu.inch / 45.7 cm³, Power 2.7 hp / 2.0 kW, Max. rec.engine speed 13000 mm, Fuel tank volume 0.95 US pint / 0.45l, Oil tank volume 0.55 US pint / 0.26l, Oil pump type Fixed flow, Chain pitch .325" Rec.bar length 13-20" / 33-51 cm, Sound level 103.3 dB(A), Noise emissions, LWA 100.5 dB(A), Vibrations, front/rear handle 6.1 m/s² /, 5.5 m/s², Weight excl. cutting equipment 10.8 lbs / 4.9 kg. Did you all understand that? ;D I expect to be pulling stumps in September then next spring we break ground. Oh! I'm also going to the Woodsman's FD's to see what kind of handmade craft work is for sale.

My Grandfather used to sell and repair chainsaws, so I actually understood a bit of what you bought rick!

North, Stoney! North! Slightly off the beaten path and out of the way of passers-by, with peace and quiet, and all my memories. Oh yeah, CountryGal -- I must have lumberjack blood in me because I really enjoy the outdoors and, while I'm not keen on taking down too many trees ... I get a strange satisfaction to bringing the big ones down safe and sound. Although heights don't scare or intimidate me. I learned to climb and repel a long time ago. Although, like a certain someone here ... I doubt that I'd bounce either.
