Well, not really the Temptations. It's Dennis Edwards, an original Temptation along with local group Classified in a Temptations Review.
I've got tickets for the show tonight. I'm pretty impressed with the talent of Classified -- they're all top-notch musicians. And who couldn't like an evening of MoTown?
Is anyone else going tonight?

Amazing, truly amazing.
Classified was the opening act -- for some reason, I thought they were going to be the backup band for the one remaining Temptation, Dennis Edwards.
Man, was I wrong.
Classified lit the place up with their usual repertoire of Latin/Funk/Dico/Boogey tunes. They are amazing musicians and had the place rocking.
It took about 15 minutes to reset the stage for the Temptations Review. The instant the lights came on, revealing the 5 members of the Temptations in their electric cobalt blue suits with rainbow swaths across their chests, I knew this was not just another review band. This was the real deal.
They were backed up by a 9-piece orchestra. As good as Classified was, this band sounded even better (the sound board really knew their stuff). And the voices of Edwards and his younger cohorts were amazing. They did all their hits, saving their My Girl/Can't Get Next To You medley until the close with the whole audience on their feet dancing. They were real showmen.
I was a little under-dressed for the occasion. Next time they come to town, I'm wearing a salmon double-breasted suit and a fedora with a large feather.

Martin Hollister and Mr. Dimeo were my band directors in school. They are amazing musicians. The band played at the New Hartford Village Green a couple weeks ago. I enjoy their sound.
