Nothing like fresh banana bread baking to titillate your taste buds. Kathy hasn't caught on to my scheme yet. When I buy bananas I purposely buy more than we can eat before they get over ripe. That way she ends up with 4 bananas to make a batch of banana bread. Lunch today will definitely be a couple slices of banana bread, slathered with butter and washed down with a nice hot cup of Folgers.

I hope Kathy doesn't read this board or your goose is cooked! Kathy doesn't use the computer PB. My secret is safe for now, haha. I am currently enjoying a slice of that banana bread, warmed for 20 seconds in the microwave and lightly buttered. It is accompanied by a cup of that magic potion that gently nudges my body into motion each day. Good old Folgers. Of all the other brands that I have tried, I always come back to Folgers Classic Roast. When a person drinks their coffee black the distinct flavor of their brew is much more important than it might be if I put sugar or flavored creamers in it. Like a man sipping his favorite Scotch whiskey, I truly savor the flavor and enjoy sipping on a nice hot cup of coffee. Shortly I will be able to skip the banana bread in favor of Kathy's awesome pumpkin bread. She makes about two dozen loaves to give to people as a holiday gift. People have grown to look forward to their annual loaf, ensconced in one of those colorful little gift bags from the dollar store. I buy a case of canned pumpkin every fall and she uses the entire case and sometimes more between her breads and a few pumpkin pies.
