www.wktv.com/news/local/18801894.htmlIs this the much needed break for this area? Hopefully this pans out and Remington will receive some of them Military contracts. Hat's off to Congressman Michael Arcuri for not forgetting where he came from and trying to bring jobs to the Mohawk Valley.

Has Remington innovated anything recently? I just don't see a windfall coming from additional orders for the M870 shotgun. It's a fine weapon to be sure. But it's decades-old technology and I don't foresee anything beyond normal replacement ordres. Remember, there's only 1 shotgun per every 20 or so rifles in a normal unit allocation. Speaking of home security devices, check this out: personalsecurityzone.com/cgi-win/order/prodlist.exe/PSZ/?Template=ProdDetail.htm&ProductID=19760Is that sweet or what?

Remington introduced thier version of the AR-15 model earlier this year. A little lighter than the Colt model and a promising rate of fire. I don't have the link handy, but it was featured at the NRA website and thier "Freedom First" magazine.

Thank god business is going back to the area. Frankcor with weapons we dont need innovative, we just need reliable. I imagine the conversion from the M16A2 to the commercial AR-15 will be better. I've never fired the AR-15, I've fired the M16A2 with no problems, but that was because the maintenance I did on it was top notch. I have however seen M16's with serious issues but mainly related to cleaning, not malfunction of the weapon. Anyway I'm going off the beaten path lol... Congrats to Hon. Mike Arcuri and the local areas that will benefit from this.
