There is a difference between Willie Nelson not filing his taxes and Snipes with three counts of willfully failing to file returns, felony tax fraud and conspiracy, that would've exposed him to 13 more years in prison. Hey maybe we could start a riot and make threats against the IRS. I am sure Sharpton will get involved and claim racisms. It should be an easy win.

But Todd, Snipes WAS acquitted of those charges. Geez, that's a damn good idea. I'd like to see Sharpton take on the IRS. Just maybe he would win where we fail and then we'll all climb on his bandstand. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Sounds good to me.

The IRS let Willie keep his bus so he could still tour. Although it seems Snipes took it in the ear, it's difficult for me to feel sorry for anyone who makes that much money and doesn't pay ANY taxes. Do I have this right? He fell in with that crowd of constitutional simpletons who say none of us should pay any taxes? I hear the Anti Tax Payers on shortwave radio all the time. They have a Reader's Digest Condensed Bible in one hand and the US Tax Code in the other. When they finish that pitch, they sell gold coins and vitamins and clean water tablets and bash Bush as ultra conservatives. News Years Day, 2000, was a day of mirthful expectation for me as I tuned in on the radio to see what all of these Y2Kers would say after nothing happened. They had forecast the direst happenings ... markets crashing, governments unable to function, looting, killing, all sorts of mayhem. They never said a word about Y2K on 1/1/2000 or ever afterward. Just went right on with the other pitches.
