I was thinking it might have been a friend of mine from Webster. Guess not. I don't know Paul Mangano.

probably my best investment was buying my Clickfree backup drive for my files. Yesterday I restored all my files to new computer. All I did was plug it in and it saves or restores. Simple for me or anyone technically challenged. I thought I might have needed to buy a PC Mover but didn't need one. Maybe will buy a new one so I can start fresh with this new PC. had to buy a new webcam since my old one wasn't compatible with Windows10, Found one at Staples for 19.99. Logitech c170. Works great. Only need it for Skyping on the PC.
Now just one last step and that is too clean my hard drive on old machine and ditching it.

Yesterday I took my grand daughter to a doctor appointment in Syracuse. She told me that the doctor asked her, "Is that your grandfather in the waiting room?" When told that it was she said, "I can't believe that a cute old guy is using an iPad." I'm not sure how I should feel about that.

CB we maybe older but not dumber. With age comes wisdom. The Dr she said that to your gd? I can't believe that. Dr's of all people should know what all age groups are capable of.

Part of it may be the beard I grew this year. My older daughter has been pushing me grow one for a couple years. I now have a 6 inch white beard along with white hair and metal framed glasses. I get a lot of Santa comments. Although I make kind of a skinny Santa. I'm down about 70 pounds since 2014.

You may not make much of a Santa with the weight loss CB, but when I had coffee with you in August you looked wonderful. Congrats on the determination to get the weight off. I need to do the same. It is a rough thing to do for some of us. I have lost it in the past and put it back on. I just need to find the determination to do it again for the sake of my back and my heart.

I got a strong triple dose of incentive in 2014. After years of lectures and lab tests showing increasing blood sugar numbers, I finally got lab tests which crossed the threshold to a diagnosis of T2 diabetes. At the same time a good friend and my mother entered their final struggles with diabetes. My friend was particularly tough to watch. He went through 2 years of amputations. First a toe, then a foot, then a lower leg, then the entire leg. Followed by the same process on the other leg. A couple months after that my youngest grand child was born.
I lost 39 pounds in 2014 and 36 in 2015, relatively stable since then. My blood glucose is under control without diabetes meds. Also important, my knees don't hurt. My goal now is to someday hold a great grandchild.
