My reply at the golden bratwurst was always "Nur salz."

For the last 5 years my brother has invited me to visit him in Florida for a month or two and one thing I like are the different foods I can get there. Paul's wife Sherry is from Alabama and they have some interesting food customs that are different from what us 'yankees' are used to. Also, their next-door neighbor is from Thailand and had us over for dinner one New Years Eve. The foods she made were incredible - very different from anything I've had here. Unlike a lot of people, I enjoy different food customs as long as it's not monkey brains or something gross like that.

Went to lunch to a Thai Restaurant one day with a friend. She is from Cambodia and is trying to train my palate for new things. Sushi etc.....which I reluctantly try. It's hard to order something you've never eaten before and are not familiar with so having a food guide helps.
Are there any Thai restaurants in Utica?

Clipper I always buy the Nathan hot dogs. I like the Hoffman, too. One thing I always do is check labels on hotdogs. One day I noticed the label" mechanically scraped meat". Apparently metal scrapers like fingers go down the carcass to remove meat near the spinal column. I worry about nerve endings in the hotdog. Nathans and Hoffmann's don't do that.

I have to be careful with eating Asian food because of the salt content and MSG. I really like Moo-Goo-Guy-Pan, got hooked on it when in grad. school. I need to find a recipe for that because it looks easy to make. Except I can't do fancy cut carrots only sliced round or crinkly-which I buy.
