Right, it'll take a pretty significant investment by USPS to implement real-time tracking. I'm already screwed with a 1-cent increase. Let's not make it any worse, eh?

Well !! .... where credit is due! Just went to the USPS site to track a package and got this messsage: Your item was processed and left our KEARNY, NJ 07032 facility on February 14, 2008. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
So.... looks like their tracking system now is actually tracking. First time I ever saw it actually work.
