Thanks, Dave! I can see now that what I mistook as disdain in Schumer's eyes is actually contempt. Both he and the Senator sitting to his right look like they want to be anywhere in the world except that hearing room while she's speaking.

In the beginning, he appears to look more concerned, but about a third through you can see a distinct change in his attitude from his body language.

I find that you cant win an argument about anti gun control until you get to the end- when you ask whether getting rid of guns make America Safer. As I think I can tell from all the other posts we all agree- it doesn't.
Think of the latests shootings, and even Columbine, would that have happened if guns were banned? Yes- they had bombs. Which I'm pretty sure are illegal.
Actually on ABC News at 6:30 they did a nice piece about why Anti-Gun Lobbyists haven't started to cry out about the recent shootings. And a new Gun Control Law aimed against Historic Weapons in New York has received a lot of criticism- even in the OD and Daily Sentinel.
