Hijack This is useful but it helps to know what you're looking at, or have a resource to help you understand what you are looking at. When I've used it to troubleshoot I've taking the log file and posted it here: hjt.networktechs.com/ to have it analyzed. While not 100% fool proof or definitive, it at least flags things that are known issues and questions others that might be.

heh, as I learned the hard way once, registry edits should have made me more nervous than they did. When I totally screwed up one of my home computers and told my brother what I had deleted, his words were not so kind and probably not repeatable here! Suffice to say, IT is what he does, so his expletive laiden rant is true professional constructive criticism!
