FYI.....You can still be "responding" to assist another officer without lights and such and at normal speed obeying normal traffic rules. It was probably a sitation where the other officer wanted another car possibly for a search or to standby with someone while the initial officer handled another aspect to whatever was going on or assist with statements or neighborhood interviews, etc.

Hi Guys!
I don't think anyone is saying that the UPD messed thi up but on the WKTV forum someone was saying that this was a fault of the PD and athat they'll lie to cover up any wrongdoing on the part of the UPD: I don't know all of them but knowing PO Lenaghen I cansay that if he was at fault he won't lie, he'd just step up and say what happened.
I agree with you guys this looks like the UTA Driver's issue, an at least no-one was seriously hurt (lovem or not no-one like to see ANY of these guys get hurt) so perhaps the UTA driver will be a more attentive driver afte this if they still let them drive.
I'm saying everyone makes mistakes but I think "some" (not you guys) are making this much adddoo about nothing.

Welcome to Utica Boomer. ;D I remember when one of my boys and his partner was hit while going on a call and at the emergency room we were there for my son, his partner's family was there for him and guess who was there for the driver of the other vehicle? His freakin lawyer! Does that tell you something?

Boomer, I don't think we were making so much a fuss as we were trying to clarify exactly what had happened.
When ever an accident happens like this, it becomes someones fault, no matter who it happens to.
All I will say is that when they investigate an accident like this, none of the vehicles are moved until their locations are verified by painting the road to indicate where they were.
The paint is still there on Hobart Street almost at Kemble. Anyone from the WKTV, OD or this forum should go down and look at it if they doubt who was at "fault"......hell, one only has to look at the pictures!
It would have made no difference if the Police car was stopped, rolling or going backwards on its roof whilst they were eating ice cream cones and listening to a Frank Sinatra CD.
The bus driver did an "oopsie", plain and simple.
