Somewhere I posted ... I think it was here on the busy Corner ... my experience in Sam's one day waiting for tires to be mounted. I had time to set up and play with a laptop similar to the one I have and two mini's, a ten inch and another one a bit larger. Using a video box as a gauge, I measured the difference in keyboard size and found the 10 inch mini's was only about 10% smaller than a regular laptop, and more importantly, my fingers and brain didn't notice it. Using Word, I found typing a document in Times New Roman (a rather small sized font) was more comfortable on my eyes in 14 point rather than the 10 or 12 point font I normally use. So, for my writing purposes at least, the mini would work fine. I'd just convert from 14 to some other font when I finished the writing work, but I do that anyway to adjust to page size.

Clipper they have a mouse that attaches via usb port to the laptop with a wire attached or you can go wireless like I did. It has a tiny reciever about an inch square that inserts into a usb port and when done can store in your mouse. I paid 32.99w/tax but today I saw what looked identical but must have been an older version as the reciever was the size of a flash drive (avout 2" inches long) for 20.00 at Marshalls. If you have a Marshalls by you then check it out as they always have lots of gadgets for ipods and laptops etc in the men's dept. Sometimes you can find some nifty stuff in there. (that's where I found a laptop tray that I bought for 12.00) Staples had one I liked with a mouse tray that pulled out by Logitech, same as my mouse) I think I like the smaller reciever so am opting out of returning it to save the 10.00. Also picked up a nice laptop case for my mini at Marshalls for 10.00. ...markdown. Nice as it has straps, long and handles and compartments with zippers inside and out.

She probably heard someone say MOUSE! LOL. I would think that cat dander might not be too good for your keyboard though.

Thanks everybody. I may pick one up today Ralph and try it out on our trip to Winston Salem. Kathy has a followup appointment and xrays today at Wake Forest. Wish her luck and keep her in your prayers.
I laugh at myself when I move my PC keyboard off the desk, and use my laptop here at the desk. I will find myself grabbing the PC mouse and wondering why the cursor doesn't move on the laptop screen, LOL. Hmmm. Having TWO mouses (or mice) may be really confusing for this senile old fart, hahaha.

I just decided to try the wireless mouse that I use on the desk top. I plugged in the device, loaded the software and it works on both computers.Yipee. It now multi tasks and goes with me if I travel. I may get one specifically for the laptop that has the compartment on the back that holds the usb device but this works quite well for now. Thanks for you advice everyone.
