I'm wrong again! It was "The Body Shop" on Columbia Square. I just read all about it on "Fulton Postcards".
I don't remember The Body Shop. Was that eventually the Highlander?

But the ad was advertising Chesty Morgan, 73-23-36 in 1979 at the Night Owl. Hard to imagine. Her bust measurement could easily be more than her height, which I think is against the law. We need Swimmy to ponder this.

The article did'nt say she worked at the Body Shop, did it? Just that she was seen there with Murphy?

In the article I read it did. I would C&P it for you but I can't on here. For some reason we can't do that with those articles. It said in the article that Murphy was waiting for White on the steps of the Amlott, & parked his motorcycle in the back. At least that's what she said.

I'm just reading the articles, too. Wow, they were both convicted of murder and got life sentences.
From the Daily Press: LONGERETTA ASKED Judge Walsh to give Karen ,-a break" because she was "never given a break before." The Minimum sentence of 15-years-to-life would satisfy "justice, society and the Murphy family.' Longeretta added The ludge was asked to take into ac- _cjDU.nt that Karen was shuffled back and forth between a broken home and foster homes, never having any direct super vision, the lawyer said.

Download the article directly from fultonhistory. Click the save graphic above the article (usually looks like a diskette) and save it to your PC. Then open it using Acrobat Reader and copy using "Snapshot." If you don't see Snapshot, let me know and I'll show you how to enable it.

I just checked, and if you're using a late enough version of Reader, you can enable Snapshot right on fultonhistory.
Left click the menu bar and choose More Tools. Scroll all the way down and check on "Snapshot Tool."

She's already out! I think she served 25 years. I don't know what happened with him. I think I'll put his name in that NYS DOC site & find out..

Willie got out in '95. Given the usual rate of recidivism, he could be back in by now.

The Body Shop sat on the NE corner of Saratoga and Whitesboro St. I think. I am also quite sure it is where Larry Tanoury's dad ran the coffee shop in later years, but I could be mistaken about that.
