Racino official speaks to SpitzerLooks like Grual's idle threat worked. Hopefully it will only be closed for those two weeks it takes destito to push through a proper bill to salvage those 300 jobs.

The OD article at the link above was actually pretty well written this time. It took me until the last line to find an error or omission: Vernon Downs’ racino employs about 300 people. That line should read: Vernon Downs’ racino employed about 300 former taxpayers who have been misserved by the most dysfunctional state legislature in the nation.

Yes. Opens today. They will be receiving about $5 million more per year. When considering that before this deal the state took 54%, that's a fairly sweet deal. I wish all the businesses did what Vernon Downs did in order to make the state drop its tax intake.
