I seldom read or note Bill OhReally, but this came up on a google search and I think it's interesting.Fact-Checking Sarah PalinSaturday, November 21, 2009 By Bill O'Reilly Once again, I'm going to keep this very short because we have a major policy interview with Sarah Palin this evening. But did you know the Associated Press, America's largest news wire service, used 11 reporters to check the accuracy of Sarah Palin's book "Going Rogue"? Eleven. Barack Obama has had two best-selling books. The Associated Press did not fact-check either one. AP spokesman Paul Colford says that's because then-Senator Obama wasn't a major player when his books came out. Even if you believe that flimsy excuse, once he did become a presidential contender, shouldn't the AP have fact-checked his books? I know I am beating a dead industry here, but the blatant left-wing bias of the American press has reached critical mass. It is simply out of control. Even if you don't like Sarah Palin, you know she has been treated unfairly by the media. It shouldn't be happening. [end]

I seldom follow fox news or Bill O'Reilly either, but lately, the battle with the White House has made the whole news agency thing an entertaining game to observe from the cheap seats.
It is informative to read BOTH sides of the story, both the liberal AND the conservative. Not only that, but I find that with such adamant disdain for Fox, by the Obama White House and the Democrats, the people at Fox must be doing SOMETHING right, haha.

That ... I haven't found yet. But here's what appears to be a synopsis of AP's review in UK's Daily Mail:blogs.dailymail.com/donsurber/archives/3685Even FactCheck.org wondered at the review, and said the number of reporters assigned to the task by AP is more than the entire staff of FactCheck.org. factcheck.org/2009/11/not-just-the-facts/And here's what the Washington Times had to say:Gunning for Sarah Palin"Given the critical media assault, Americans wouldn't have a clue that her new book discusses weighty policy issues such as the benefits of the free market and lower taxes, the limits of government regulation, "cap and trade," foreign policy and states' rights or that Mrs. Palin has a Facebook blog providing excellent critiques of the government takeover of the health care industry. CBS squawked that the book was the work of a ghostwriter, as if that would be a novelty for a politician. Associated Press devoted an unprecedented 11 reporters to "fact check" Mrs. Palin's book." "The wire service did not conduct similar reviews for accuracy of recent books by liberals, such as the late Edward M. Kennedy, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. (when he was a senator), Barack Obama (before he was president) or autobiographies by Bill or Hillary Clinton. Nor was such a thorough examination conducted on recent political books by Republicans Rudolph W. Giuliani or Newt Gingrich. We are still waiting for the same media outlets to dismiss President Obama's speeches on the grounds that they are ghostwritten."www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/nov/22/gunning-for-sarah-palin/

when did the democratic party replace the kremlin and the kgb? Hahahahaha! My Uncle Harry would have said in 1933 when FDR took office. I tend to think it was coincident with the technology used to keep track of us, party notwithstanding.

Corner...I think that the Democratic party replaced the Kremlin and KGB this last January. Take a look at the Obama Czars and their communist beliefs.
What's most amazing is that the media is bending over and wiping Obama's butt at every corner and too many people still don't see it.
Never in my lifetime have I seen such a blatant media bias. When the "mainstream" media attacks Saturday Night live on a skit about Obama that should say it all.
I listened to an interview with Demond Wilson, you might remember him from Sanford & Son as Lomont.
He was asked the question, "what you you have to say about President Obama, especially with him being the first black president". His response was immediate. He said, " he's not black". Then he said, " I'll put it to you this way. Obama is like one of these tv cooking shows. They give you all the ingredients, layout this big meal, there's only one thing missing. You have to be able to taste it. Until he actually does something that I can taste and works for me I can't comment on anything that he's done."

She may have a nice ass, but other than that she's an empty suit. OK, ok, sorry 'bout that.

I'm just annoyed at the unequal treatment given those who are media pets and those whom the media hate. By the way, I'll go with the New York Times on this one in presuming the Africa story was a hoax, given its make-believe source. www.nytimes.com/2008/11/13/arts/television/13hoax.html?_r=1You seem rather overwrought with the Africa story, Kracker.

I guess what's truly amazing about the whole thing is all of the fact checking.
The question remains why? Could it be that she's popular and a lot of people like her? Could it be that sometimes she shoots from the hip and says things that ordinary people might say? Could be.
What still remains is that very few in the media are going after Congress and "the anointed one"
One thing is for sure, the words tax keep coming up more and more frequently. I'm just surprised that the Times has printed anything even remotely against this administration. They'll fire that person soon enough.

[/quote]I probably would have voted for McCain if he haden't picked Palin as his running mate. I couldn't imagine this country being run by her, especially after having a moron as Prez for 8 years. I'll never forget Bush, a few days days after 9/11 being on the golf course giving reporters a boilerplate speech about getting those "evil doers", followed by this beauty of a remark, "now, watch this drive"! Did we really need another prez that is a half wit? So she's pissed at Couric. Why? Because she didn't lob softball questions at Palin? Or maybe Couric asked Palin a 4th grade geography question that she couldn't answer correctly. "The country of Asia....................................."

You can find Palin's book in the "Fantasy" section. I heard Palin got pissed-off when Couric asked her, "What kinds of books do you read?" Palin thought it was a trick question.
