Kinda the same thing as BJ's in Utica. Gas and Milk are cheaper there.

ah. it really does not bother me, i prefer not to shop in big box monster stores, but i cant criticize somebody that does.. unless they its walmart...
somebody should get midtowner on the board so she can rip on you....
i prefer hanaford or price chopper for my goods... I get my milk from stewarts becuase i have a milk club card....I buy as much generic as i can, and we shop smart, buy just what you need.. nothing more.... hanaford has the third best butcher shop in the area, behind hapys in NYM and the place up in floyd on 365.... fresh meat....mmmmmmmm
ass fart shit dick
this has been a test of the word censor feature....

I'm not a fan o WallyWorld either, but, ummmm....I do shop there on occasion. Only when I absolutely have to! Hanaford or Price Chopper would be WAAAAAY TOO FAR for me to drive! I think the closest one to me would be the Price Chopper in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and I don't think I want to drive 8 hours to go grocery shopping. Guess I'll stick with Costco, Harris Teeter and Food Lion. ;-)
Midtowner is a woman? Why did I think midtowner was a man?
You forgot shit. Let's see what shit becomes.

I usually shop at hannaford. But I think we're going to start drinking our own raw milk again. When I had kids we started buying it from the store because I didn't want to take any chances, but they are getting older now, so maybe I can save some money and just get it out of the tank.
Where is the meat shop on 365 in Floyd? Just curious. I like Pulaski's in Utica too for meat. They have great bacon that they will slice thick. The ladies in there are so friendly.
Stewarts was voted best milk at the NYS Fair last year. The closest one for me is Holland Patent.

The Food Center.....who'd a thunk it?? I've never been in there. I know my mother-in-law used to shop there when my husband was a kid.
We have our own beef, so I don't have to purchase too much of it at the store.

Costco, BJ's, Sams Club, they all have advantages and drawbacks. They are great for saving money on quantity purchases. They are great for small businesses to purchase on wholesale level, but they also hurt those same small businesses by taking customers from them. It is all part of the wonderful world of "free enterprise".
In todays economy, I use a combination of local, and bigbox to fill the pantry and freezer. There are some products that are better purchased from local outlets, and a lot of money to be saved on other products that can be bought in quantity and broke down into smaller portions and froze.
Wow Kim! Free wine?? Sound like a cure to the screaming of unruly and undisciplined kids in the stores. A little sample cup of Chardonay and the little buggers are slumped and napping in the buggy, haha. I wonder how children's tylenol works for a toddler hangover.
I am bad, and would never condone giving a kid booze. I am only being obnoxious as usual, haha.

Los, Nobody's ever asked us before I don't think. We always share with relatives and stuff. Legally, I don't know if we're allowed to but I can find that out for ya. We have freinds that cut meat for us over on Luke Road. Let me get back to you on that.

I buy lots of frozen veggies over at the "Cash & Carry" on Broad St. Restaurant quality and the price is right.

Gee country gal, you bring back memories of when a ran a dairy in Boonville for a friend of my dad's in my 20's. I used to grab "top milk" for my coffee and cereal before I turned on the agitator in the bulk tank in the morning, haha. Nothing like cream on bowl of oatmeal, and real cream in coffee. There was also nothing like an ice cold cup of milk straight from the tank when we came in from haying. Store bought milk has NO flavor compared to clean and reponsibly produced raw milk.
The only way to get it any fresher would be to lie under the cow, and suck like a calf. I wouldn't trust the old girl not to kick me in the side of the head though, hahaha. I HAVE squirted directly from the cow into a cup of coffee while I was milking. As long as my wife did her job of washing the udders, I never found any "floaties" in my coffee. LOL

CG, if you are referring to Ron and Wanda, the meat shop is immaculate, and he does a great job. They are great people and I know them well. What a difference between fresh meat and the hamburger meat you buy in the store. Roast beef from a local raised and locally butchered dairy cow has a lot more flavor than your bright red hunk that came to the market dyed red and blister packed in plastic.
