OK , Clipper, your not talking about Swancott, your talking about the Dowlings Nursing Home in the Old Munn castle. Swancott Home was a private home for elderly ladies. I was a cook there years ago and it was a class act. Now, the Dowlings, on the other hand... I could tell you some stories about that place- a hell hole for humans- I had an aunt who died there-. I will cyber more later and tell my stories if anyone thinks this thread is the correct spot to do so.

You are correct Fiona. Sorry for the misnomer. Dowling Nursing Home was the place I was referring to. Dowlings had a horrible reputation for filth and neglect.
