This is an amazing accomplishment. I too never had much interest but only because every time I watched the sport on tv, the Americans always seemed to choke. The commentators are harsh.
But I don't mean to belittle or trivialize her wonderful and amazing achievement. She has entered the realm of athleticism the rest of use athletes (former and current) can only ever dream to be. Congratulations to her!

Really nice coverage and story in the OD today about this local, young World Luge Champion Erin Hamlin. She deserves it and more. She's quite the gal and I'm positive her hometown, Remsen, is very proud of her as we all are. Well done Erin. Wishing you all the best in the next Olympic Games. Bring home the Gold! GO GET THEM GIRL! ;D

This young lady is just awesome! Another honor bestowed on Erin and US skier, Lindsey Vonn, named athletes of the month by the national governing athletic bodies, including the United States Olympic Committee. Wonderful for this area to have such a talented and polished young lady representing all of us. WTG Erin! ;D I'm sure y'all will join me in wishing Erin the very best this coming weekend as she competes in the US National Luge Championship being held in Lake Placid. GO GET EM ERIN!

Here Erin Hamlin goes again bringing more honors to her hometown, Remsen, and the surrounding areas. Just want to wish the Luge World Champ the best in her goal for the 2010 Olympic team. She just has to finish 5th in Calgary this weekend and she'll be on her way to Vancouver in February. "YOU GO ERIN!" Bring it home and you're on your way to Olympic Gold. ;D

Was a little disappointed this morn. Watched the whole Today show only for Erin to be on almost at the end of the program and only for a few seconds. She was with the entire USA Olympic Luge Team and never got to say one word. Come to think of it, they didn't even introduce the members of the team. Bummer! Well anyways.............WTG ERIN! You made us proud. ;D
