The DNA evidence is being described in the Trial of Louis Leddick according to the trial blog on the OD homepage.
It is clearly evident that blood on Leddicks underwear matches the DNA of the victim. There is no semen evidence found on the victim or her clothing. Hmm. Judging from the horrible and traumatic injuries that the little girl suffered, the deviant bastard was most likely either used his hand to molest her, or he raped her but withdrew without ejaculating.
If it is proved that he is guilty ( I have little doubt, given the evidence and witness accounts) he will be the next "victim" when his crimes are made known to his fellow inmates in a state prison.
This man, if guilty, is one sick bastard, and should never be allowed to walk among the general public again. This is one of those mental illnesses for which I doubt there will ever be a "cure". If ever released from prison, he should be moved to a mental institution and remain in confinement permanently.
That may not seem fair to some, but releasing him back into the general population is not fair either, and is very dangerous.
I hope Wcup is on the ball during this trial, or someone will bring a weapon and kill this beauty before he even gets to prison. Watch that scanner Wcup, (or not, haha)

Clipper people like this guy should be shot. He is disgusting. That poor little girl. I hope that the jury is going to come back guilty. He took away something from that little girl that she will never get back no matter what he used. Why do even put these people in prison they should be shot on the spot.

Yea we have been very cautious with the gallery. The threat rose up from the jail was actually against one of the witnesses. But I am sure they also want a piece of Leddick if given the chance. We have been making a presence known in the courtroom. Jury gets the case Monday morning. We'll see what happens.........stay tuned!!!!

Oh yeah! Strap the offending part to the table, and horsewhip that part first. LOL. I simply cannot imagine the sick mind that would do such a thing. We had some perverted SOB here not long ago actually raped a 18 month old baby girl while babysitting for her while his girlfriend ( the mother) was working. I am sorry, but there is really no justifiable reason for letting that sicko bastard live. Justice would be for him to have some object, capable of doing the traumatic damage to his ass, that he caused to that poor little girls vagina, shoved in his butt repeatedly until he died of blood loss. A fire hydrant or a barrel cactus might work. How about then cauterizing the wound with an aluminum cylinder, heated to about 500 degrees.

Pay careful attention the next time the History Channel does the story on Vlad the Impaler including the computer reconstruction of how his method of execution could have lasted for the 3 days that legend maintains.

He is guilty and it only took an hour to determine that guilt and come to a verdict.
I have little doubt that he will receive the maximum sentence.
Bend over Louis, Bubba loves ya, hahaha!
Make him bleed Bubba!!!

From one of the OD news stories, "... one member on the jury is Lynton Clark, a former Oneida County sheriff's investigator who was involved in the investigation of 16-year-old Kimberly Simon's 1985 rape and murder in Whitestown. Clark also currently is an instructor of forensic investigation at Herkimer County Community College." And, " ... Clark was among the witnesses to testify in (Steven) Barnes' trial in 1989."
Doesn't it seem odd that he would be on such a jury?

I don't know that it is so odd that he was on the jury, but wonder why if there was any question as to his qualifications to serve, why weren't they brought up during jury selection by the defense?
I posted a thread to that effect under the general section. Sorry for misplacing it under the wrong topic.

Actually, pedophilia is defined as a mental illness in the DSM-IV. It lead to the legislation that paved the way for judge tormey's sex offender civil confinement trials that last two weeks. The state recognizes that many sexual predators will repeat their crimes. So, using the state's patriae parens powers, the state is confining these individuals under Mental Hygiene laws. I actually wrote a decision for a judge where one attorney argued that the DSM-IV was not fact and that the judge could not take judicial notice. My research proved that attorney wrong. So there is a procedure in place to keep these types of people out of the public long after their criminal sentences are expired and their "debt to society is repaid."
Not that I am totally against that statement; however, we are a civilized society. Additionally, are you in favor of holding American citizens suspected of engaging in terrorist activity indefinitely without their right to an attorney? What about locking away a father who can't make his child support payments (through no fault of his own), struggles to make whatever payments he can, and declare him a dead beat father? What about women who use abortion as a means of birth control? Should we brandish all of them to the same fate the provided for their unborn children?
As I have quoted before, "Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither." ~ Benjamin Franklin.
Comments like that are dangerous and create a slippery slope effect. If we start killing child rapists, what's to stop us from killing all rapists? And if we kill all rapists, what is to stop us from killing rapists who murder their victims? And if we kill them, what is to stop us from killing all murders? And if we kill all rapists who murder their victims, what about rapists who rob their victims or kidnap their victims?
All of them are equally heinous crimes. Keep at it long enough and we're killing people for driving in a blizzard without any headlights (not that I would be opposed, entirely).
Lock him away in a mental institution and keep the public safe. His crime is deplorable and he will repay his debt, for sure, in prison. When he gets out, keep his freedom from him and lock him in a mental health hospital.
I am a firm believer that we can achieve peace and security without sacrificing the Constitution. And if we can't find one, it is because we're too stupid to find it and have not thought hard enough about it.
