Hell, I may not have been very clear, and may been ahead of myself in my last post, but what I was hinting at is that if they start with sugar laden drinks, they will soon be taxing ice cream, pizza, doritos, and everything except brussel sprouts.
Then will come the sex tax. Each condom will have a tax stamp and you will be taxed a couple of bucks for every time you have sex with your mate or you will be required to file a separate form with your 1040A to declare how much sex you had during the past year.
Yep, that and the methane emission tax (toot tax) should pretty well cover it. Hell, a couple of bucks for each time you make love, and a buck a fart. I will gradually be paying less in sex tax, but will go broke with the toot tax, hahaha!

On the News tonight they told that Pepsi has donated a trailer load of soda from Latham to the food bank. That's one way to beat the tax and the flood damage.

Ryan, I think thats an excellent idea. This country needs a little revolution every now and then.

We won't have to worry here in Tennessee, and SW Virginia. We have people here that are already well trained in marketing "Mountain Dew" under the radar and free of tax. LOL It will be a burden on the task forces though when "Coke" becomes illegal, along with Pepsi, Dr Pepper etc etc. I can see the news now. A Bristol man was arrested last night after purchasing 20 oz. of Coke from an undercover officer. The street value was $1.50 plus deposit.

N.Y.S. is probably the highest tax state in the country, but is on the verge of bankruptcy. Further evidence that N.Y. has also got to be the most corrupt.

You know? I guess this is the reason I haven't been able to add to the conversation here lately. Knowing what's coming from Washington and now Paterson's new fees and taxes ALONG with RAISING welfare benefits; the power of the CSEA, NEA and other government employee unions, I feel beaten and no matter how I participate it won't do any good.
Folks I'm afraid we have lost our voice in this government

Wilum we haven't lost our voice, we are just choosing not to say anything. We can talk all we want on this board but to actually do something is another story. I talk to so many people that can't wait for Patterson to be out of office but they aren't doing anything. Hell I wish I knew what I could to do to voice my opinion to him. I think writing letter doesn't do a thing. If there is a way where we could all go to Albany and protest maybe that could to something. Hell right now I'm pissed about my job. They are doing lay-offs no raise next year but my CEO got a pretty hefty fn bonus! When I talk to people at my job about it they are all mad but tell me that there is nothing we can do about it. I'm sick of this shit. I wish I knew what I could do to help to stop all this nonsense. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
by the way sorry I didn't make it Saturday, a lot of things going on. We had a pitch game with some friends.

Other states are considering this, so I will predict it'll be coming soon to an auto near you: a tax per mile driven. Hey! We're not buying as much gas, and we're not using the toll roads as much as "they" need to support their spending habits. We'll have to make it up somehow! Cut spending? Huh? What's that?

I have to laugh when I hear them piously drone on about "The Dangers Of Obesity" and "The Obesity Epidemic" to justify taxing Pepsi-Cola, and looking at fast food outlets. They don't give a rat's fuzzy butt if people are fat! They want MONEY! and they don't care how or where or why they're shaking it out of us.

Money, money, money the American way. I saw a sign in the bus stating what we can do to prevent Pandemic flu. The flu shot is very expensive. Maybe part of the money from the fat tax can go into a pandemic flu budget.

Hey I like brussel sprouts! If we only had a cousin Eddie to bring Patterson right to our door so we can tell him how lousy he is.
