Well, I suppose some might question the officer's decision to let the guy drive in his heightened emotional state. But on second thought, that isn't against the law. Let's see....it's 1947 and it took place on Herkimer Rd. and the policeman was Officer Mike O'Malley. Mike pulled the driver from the car, beat him silly with his billy and threw him in the ditch. For which, when he later felt a twinge of guilt, he said 3 Hail Mary's for the man's health.

Well, we now have two authors from ClipperCorner on the More Stories! website! C'mon over and see who contributed stories. I won't mention any names, but you can find out for yourself whether frankcor has written anything. So, sharpen your nibs (that's writer talk), put on your author caps, seduce your muse and come over to join us at: www.windsweptpress.com/morstor.htm

Swimmy, I don't know how I missed that story when you first posted it. That's just too funny!

If anyone thinks their life is too mundane to write about, see what an excellent job Doris Miller of Wisconsin does with the material she has to work with. I've been enjoying her newsy articles for a number of years via the American Amateur Press Association's monthly "bundle." She recently dropped out because of paper and printing costs, so I invited her to put her stuff on my "More Stories!" website. She writes often, so I set up a Journal for her and we named it the Wisconsin Farmer Journal (pretty snappy, huh?) If you miss getting letters from home, her articles are a reasonable substitute. Go to this link and click on "Wisconsin Farmer Journal," down the left side of the page: www.windsweptpress.com/morstor.htmI liked "Dancin' Fools" in particular, as well as "Wisconsin Winter." www.windsweptpress.com/shareweb/bwinter small.jpg[/img]

Kim, I know you're up late nights burning the midnight oil writing up something for "More Stories!" When your husband appears, ready for bed, wrapped only in Saran Wrap, bottle of tingly in hand, you probably say, "No, I have to finish this story for Dave." So I thought you might want to take a look at another young mother's stories on the website. Her name is Kelly Reale and you can find three of her pieces concerning children and modern life at: www.windsweptpress.com/morstor.htmI think my favorite is "Bewildered."

I like that Dave. I wonder what Kelly will write if she has a third child; a boy.

Kim, Please apologize to your husband for me. I got the Happy Marriage Manual out and I had it backwards. It's the wife who is supposed to appear in Saran Wrap.
