Thank you lioneljoe! I'm just trying to do my job and wish others would do the same. I don't proclaim to have all the answers, or always be right, but I do wish there was more honest and open debates about the issues around here. Only then will we get to the root of the problems.
Snikers, I really do understand your frustration. I just wish everyone would understand that it's not these "little" quality of life expenditures that are killing us, it's the whole system. Like I've said before, we need to overhaul the entire way in which we do business in Oneida County and New York State. No more BIG GOVERNMENT, no more PATRONAGE JOBS, no more milions and millions in contracts to patronage agencies, no more unaccountable authorities and NFP's. Many agencies do a great job, but too many others ruin their original intent by feeding off of the spoils system and buying politicians support while the politician claims to "have no control" because it's an "authority."
We are better than this in Oneida County! We just need to start holding our "leaders" accountable.
