Diesel yes, cooking oil NO! I don't picture myself eating anything made with "pond slime". Science is making some amazing progress in developing such technology, but some things are just repulsive to think about. I guess in my particular case it may be that I am repulsed because I clean the filters and pumps in our garden pond and can't stand the feel or the smell of the algae produced by the pond, and fertilized with fish droppings. Other than some food products that contain trace amounts of lechitin, I don't eat seaweed either. I have taken sushi from an oriental buffet, and ate the middle, while discarding the seaweed wrapper.Just a personal quirk I guess.

The Charlton Heston movie was released in the summer of 1973, but my kids didn't take note of it until they saw it on television some years later when they were adolescents. Ever afterward, if something not to their liking was served up for supper, we'd hear, "Ewww, Soylent Green!" You might remember that in the movie, Mr. Heston's character finally put together what the government was doing with all the nation's garbage and human bodies from a euthanasia program, and how the Feds were able to provide the nation with green protein bars for dinner. Soylent Green! (It's people! My God! It's people!)

We have visited the "soylent green" thing just a short time ago. What was that thread all about Dave? I seem to have forgotten, but that is not unusual lately, haha. I think I had amnesia once... Or maybe twice.. I can't remember for sure, LOLOL.

I'm very pleased that she likes that little outfit we bought for her.

You steeped it in your tea all afternoon to shrink it, before we gave it to her.

She's right out of an episode of "Nick Danger, 3rd eye".

Dan, I never got that "3rd eye" thing. Maybe I was too young.
