LOL, I've never heard them called necking knobs, but as soon as I read it I knew exactly what you were talking about. Thanks for the laugh -- it's always appreciated.

Those curb feelers came in handy when I was younger. I had one installed on the brim of my cap, so I would not smack my chin on the curb while crawling home from the bar.
The only necking knobs I can recall were encased in a bra, haha.

You can't add anything on my blog? That's really weird.

Yup, it sure is weird, and frustrating.

NOW you tell me about the curb feeler on your hat. I sure could have used it back then. Instead I have scars all over my forehead. But like you, I stopped drinking some time ago and don't have any recent scars to show for it.
Kim must be on vacation or something.

Touchy Feely, and necky knobbers, and other interesting items from the 50's adn 60's. Don't strain your brain kiddo. Ya had to be there haha. You must be on vacation. Mom and Dad are there. It would be rude NOT to be on vacation while they are there. LOL Pull the travel trailer in the driveway, and PRETEND to be on vacation if you can't do anything else, haha.

("Clipper," he said in a hushed voice so as not to alert her, "see what I mean about Kim? She's just too young to remember the thrill of finally having ones own car with a bench seat, curb feelers and a necking knob. Heaven forbid we should talk about a 'throttle' or a Continental Kit.")

How about dimmer switch on the floor, three in the tree, a rubber pedal on the floor to wash the windows and a rubber bag of fluid under the hood. Rambler was the only American car with reclining seats, Chrysler products had square steering wheels, and Ford made a car that failed to catch on that had the push button shift buttons in the middle of the steering wheel. Bumper jacks and fender skirts. (by the way kit, we are taking this thread WAY off topic, haha)

HEY! I had a car with a dimmer switch on the floor!
We're going to go camping in Charlotte tomorrow. Just for the night. :-)

Glad you are going to Charlotte. It is cold as hell here, and raining until tomorrow noon. Going to be cold at night, getting colder every night until Monday going into Tuesday, when it will be in the 20's here and possible flurries. Brrrrrr. I must be back in Utica. Cold at night, but still warm during the day. Today was just nasty and windy. I had to walk the usual nineteen miles from the parking lot at the VA Hospital this morning. Wonderful walk it was too. I was on my way to see the damned FOOT DOCTOR, haha. I got a compliment though. The little darlin that was working on my feet said that I had much nicer feet than some viet vets she sees , whatever the hell that means. I was tempted to tell her that she had very nice..... awe, never mind!

Clipper, You're right about being way off topic. Guess I'll go back to the Be-Bop thread and stay there where I belong.

Just be careful over there too. Our "be" is still there, but some of our "bop" is gone. We could hurt ourselves.LOL. If I get Kathy out to dance again, I will stick to the slow stuff and ballroom. Maybe a little two step here and there.
