Do you remember the GUI on all the Star Trek computer panels on the deck and in engineering? It took about 30 key-strokes to do just about anything. At first I thought that was kind of klunky. But when I look at what we use today, it wasn't all that bad.
One of my all-time favorite gags was when Bones and Scotty visited an engineer after the crew had journeyed back in time to the 1980s. Scotty attempted to use the engineer's Mac by speaking "Computer!" When the Mac didn't respond, Bones said "I think you have to use that" pointing to the mouse. Scotty picked up the mouse and repeated his command "Computer!"
