Anybody watch the convention last night?? I thought that it was very entertaining and VERY ACCURATE in the assessments of Obama, by both Rudy and Sarah Palin.
I also loved the comparisons of accomplishments of both sides of the ticket. "Community Organizer" is the title that strikes a funny bone moment in my heart. Every country should be led by a "community organizer", LOL.
A community organizer that can not show even a shred of leadership experience on any level. He has never governed, he has never served in a leadership position, he has never administered a large budget, and he has never served his country until he was elected "Jr Senator from Illinois".
Now if we want to give him a job he CAN handle, we could make him the spokesperson for the Democratic Party, in charge of media releases and speeches to the press and TV. It would be a much more palatable vision, than old Nancy Pelosi standing behind a microphone while I am trying to eat my dinner.
It will be interesting to listen from here on out. It will be interesting to see if he will be able to stand up to a ticket with a VP candidate that far outshines the experience and the ability to govern, while the other party puts forth a "community organizer" and jr senator that has not been around long enough to even have a "record of accomplishments" in the senate, because he hasn't been in the senate long enough to accomplish anything, Duhhh!
Has anyone been to Chicago lately? I used to go through there with a truck every week, when I was on my way to Iowa and Wisconsin. The only "organization" I saw in the communities there, was organized crime and organized gang activity. I guess we have to credit Obama for his wonderful work in the community in bringing all those gangsters and miscreants to a finely honed community organization.
What has this man EVER done to qualify him to lead this country? I don't know about you, but I can't be comfortable with a president that is going to be undergoing "on the job training" as Rudy or Sarah Palin said last night. I am not comfortable with a man that wants to "negotiate" with our enemies. We cannot afford to make ANY concessions to terrorists. I am not comfortable with a president that is not in favor of a strong military on all fronts. I am not comfortable with a president that has wanted to withdraw our troops in defeat when we are finally showing positive and measurable progress in WINNING the war in Iraq. Our troops may soon be coming home victorious instead of with their tail between their legs.
I can't bring myself to vote for the "light brown dude" that claims for convenience sake to be black. I can't bring myself to vote of the Christian dude that has Islam as the predominant religious background in his life, and a radical and marxist pastor in his circle of friends and mentors.
I guess I will just have to vote for a well seasoned senator, with a valiant record of fighting for his country in war, and fighting for his constituents on the floor of the senate. I will simply have to take a chance on his experience, when stacked up against an inexperienced senator, and former community organizer with a Marxist wife, and a ambiguous plan for "change".
I guess I will have to settle for a VP candidate that has more experience in governing and administering than both persons on the Democratic ticket combined.
I was thinking as I watched her speech last night, "here is a woman that could stack her honesty and actual experience up against Hillary's shady past, and lousy record as a senator from NY, and win the presidency in a future election." If there is ever to be a woman president, I would place my support behind this female governor of Alaska in a heartbeat, before I would vote for ANY of the other women in politics today.
What does it say for the Democrats when we have a Republican VP candidate that far outshines any experience or qualifications of the PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the opposing ticket?
