We have a couple outdoor lights with motion sensors that hopefully will discourage any thieves out on the prowl & some of our neighbors leave their lights on all nite so the area is well lit. We lock both our vehicles every night & leave nothing of value in either one of them. My worry though is the cat converters getting stolen which cost a fortune to replace. Did you happen to catch the news story about cat converters being stolen. They can remove one is less that 60 seconds and the thief's even do this during the day in store or mall parking lots.

I read a story about a converter thief being caught in the act by the car owner in Greeneville Tn. He dragged the jerk out from under the car by the ankles and before the guy could get on his feet the car owner kicked the crap out of him. The thief's partner and driver took off and left him there.
In another incident the thieves hit a small independent car lot and took the converters off of multiple cars, leaving the dealer with several thousand dollars in replacement costs before he would be able to sell the affected cars.
I just can't believe that someone wouldn't hear the chatter of a Sawzall rattling away under the car before the thief could get the deed done and get away.
I worry about the motor home as well as the car, even with motion flood lights in the driveway.

Yes, I saw that. I read a news story recently that thieves in OshKosh WI. stole cat converters from school busses causing $100,000 in damages. So many busses were hit that they had to close schools for a day or two. I don't know if they caught the thieves or not. Hope so.

Just amazing. I bet if caught the idiots would be given an appearance ticket rather than jailed.
