* WHAT...Patchy drizzle and freezing drizzle will persist through

this afternoon. Icy patches may develop even in places where the

air temperature is above freezing, as ground temperatures remain

very cold. Additional accumulation will be a light glaze. Lake

effect snow will develop later this evening, lasting through

Monday night. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches in

northern Oneida County, highest in the northwest, and 6 to 12

inches in Southern Oneida County, with lower amounts in

southeastern areas.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida and Southern Oneida counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 4 PM EST this

afternoon. For the Lake Effect Snow Warning, from 4 PM this

afternoon to 1 AM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible tonight

and Monday. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and

evening commutes Monday.

I would be MORE worried as to if the bus would be running when you are ready to come back home. That happened to a bunch of us teenagers back in the late 50's or early 60's. We took a bus to Pin O Rama to bowl and 3 hours later we came out to deep snow on Genessee St and no buses running. We walked from the Parkway to Keyes Road.

It is a pretty long stroll from The New Hartford Walmart to downtown Utica.

Are the forecasts coming to pass? When I lived North of the city I found that the snowfall was not as dangerous as the wind and visibility. Many years ago when I lived in Newport there were several occasions when the visibility went from tolerable to zero as soon as I started up the hill out of Schuyler. On a couple of occasions over the years I was forced to drive to Herkimer and go up the West Canada Valley on Rt 28 in order to avoid the drifting and poor visibility.

Be careful today PB. It doesn't look like it is going to be a very nice day to be exposed to the elements while waiting for a bus anywhere. If I were to have to go out up there today I would probably look like the Michelin Man with all the layers of clothing I would be piling on.

I do not think it was all that bad out today. I left house at 10:30 AM and returned at 3:30PM. It is cold and I wore two coats well actually the insert to my winter coat and was kept sort of warm. The wind does make it feel colder. Thankfully to Centro Hub inside waiting area is open to the public and thankfully the place only had one or two extra people in it also waiting for a Bus. Even my four Busses I lucked out with one or two other riders. The Bus I returned on from Consumer Square had just me and the driver. If it is ok tomorrow I might just take a fast run somewhere just to get air and get out of the house and crazy building. Then I shall return home and make stuffed peppers. Bought what I needed on second trip to a different store.

I just cannot stay home it drives me nuts( Sunday is bad enough) when I left this morning the hallway out my door smelled of car exhaust and no cars in driveway were running. Was wondering why I was getting this headache and lightheadedness feeling. I told office but they do not like to here me complaining.

I guess the worse will be overnight for windchills.

Arrived home safely last night. As far as I know, we have no plans to venture out today.

Didn't get much more than "dust" for snow, but the bottom fell out of my thermometer.
