www.wktv.com/content/news/Utica-Fire-Department-rescue-vehicle-stolen-suspect-in-custody-575930211.htmlI just can't wrap my head around the new bail laws. This jerk was on an all day crime spree and was caught and released with appearance tickets 3 times. Doesn't Albany find anything wrong with kicking criminals loose to re-offend several times without doing jail time? I am constantly reading about criminals that are caught, released, and continue to carry on their criminal activity while awaiting a court date for the past offense. What the hell has our justice system come to? I don't see a lot of justice being meted out under the new system.

That cretin caused $35000 in damage to that vehicle. Maybe they'll give him another appearance ticket so he can move up to the big time & steal a 40 ton crane.
There's a warrant list for Oneida County as long as my arm for these charactors who get appearance tickets & don't show up in court. It's a joke.

Not only did he cause $35,000 in damage, he put a rescue vehicle out of service for who knows how long, possibly putting people at risk who would otherwise have been saved by a quick response by this truck. Maybe he will be the next one trapped in the wreckage of their car and that rescue truck won't be around to extricate him. Maybe they could just leave him trapped in his wrecked car until his court date. At least then they would know where to find him and he wouldn't be committing any more crimes.
