See that on TV. Those birds were huge and will take many hours to bake in the oven. Some looked over 30 pounds.

I received a 25 lb turkey once from a trucking company I was working part-time for at the time and had to have it sawed in half because it was too big to fit into our oven. We ate one 12 lb half at Thanksgiving and the other half for Christmas. I had a 14 lb turkey cut in half not long ago because there is only two of us. It made a turkey dinner, a pot of soup, and several sandwiches. We eat a lot of turkey. I usually buy breasts when they are on sale and keep a couple in the freezer most of the time. The same goes for whole turkeys. When I can buy them on sale for a buck or so I always buy one. With today's meat prices it is actually a fairly cheap protein option compared to beef or pork, and it's good for you.
